Pancreatic Cysts
نویسنده
چکیده
No attempt was made to extirpate the cyst, because of its intimate relationship with important structures and the extremely feeble condition of the patient. The margins being stitched on to the abdominal incision, the tumour was simply drained. There was no marked change in the patient's condition. He continued to vomit and to hiccup, and his pulse was thready as before. Rectal alimentation was carried on.

Differential diagnosis of pancreatic cystic masses with the quantitative analysis of spectral CT imaging: Initial results
Background: To retrospectively evaluate whether quantitative information derived from spectral imaging can improve the differential diagnosis of pancreatic cystic masses including pancreatic solid pseudopapillary epithelial neoplasms (SPENs), mucin- producing cysts and pseudocysts. Materials and Methods: From June 2015 to October 2017, 56 patients (22 pseudocysts, 18 mucin-producing cysts and 1...

Omental cysts are rare and occur in approximately one of 100,000 patients. About 25% of these cysts are presented in children less than 10 years of age. Symptoms produced by omental cysts are not clinically diagnostic and pre operative diagnosis is exceedingly difficult. Omental cysts producing clinical symptoms must be differentiated from other cysts and acute intra abdominal conditions such a...
متن کاملRare Nonneoplastic Cysts of Pancreas
Pancreatic cysts represent a small proportion of pancreatic diseases, but their incidence has been recently increasing. Most pancreatic cysts are identified incidentally, causing a dilemma for both clinicians and patients. In contrast to ductal adenocarcinoma, neoplastic pancreatic cysts may be cured by resection. In general, pancreatic cysts are classified as neoplastic or non-neoplastic cysts...
متن کاملPancreatic cyst fluid triage: a critical component of the preoperative evaluation of pancreatic cysts.
Pancreatic cysts are a complex group of benign, malignant, and premalignant lesions with diverse clinical, radiologic, and pathologic features. It is no longer believed that the vast majority of pancreatic cysts are pseudocysts, inclusion cysts, or benign neoplastic cysts that do not require follow-up. Our knowledge and understanding of neoplastic pancreatic cysts in general, and mucinous pancr...
متن کاملIncidental pancreatic cysts: a frequent finding in liver-transplanted patients as assessed by 3D T2-weighted turbo spin echo magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography.
CONTEXT The increasing frequency of incidental pancreatic cysts at imaging is a challenging topic due to the uncertainty of the aggressiveness of these lesions, especially small ones. To date, no data exist about their prevalence in a population of liver-transplanted patients. OBJECTIVE To determine the prevalence of incidental pancreatic cysts in liver-transplanted patients using magnetic re...
متن کاملPrevalence of Incidental Pancreatic Cysts on 3 Tesla Magnetic Resonance
OBJECTIVES To ascertain the prevalence of pancreatic cysts detected incidentally on 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the abdomen and correlate this prevalence with patient age and gender; assess the number, location, and size of these lesions, as well as features suspicious for malignancy; and determine the prevalence of incidentally detected dilatation of the main pancreatic duct (M...
